Advanced Engineer-AI/ML

HARMAN is seeking an AI/ML Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to develop next-generation automotive AI systems. This role involves building and deploying Small Language Models (SLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and AI orchestration layers for intelligent cockpits, ADAS, and connected vehicles, working across both edge and cloud environments.

• Develop and optimize SLMs for in-vehicle conversational AI and context-aware reasoning
• Deploy models on edge devices (CPU, NPU, GPU) and implement edge + cloud AI pipelines
• Develop AI orchestration layers for intent routing, policy engines, and cross-domain context management
• Build multi-modal systems integrating voice, visual perception, and sensor fusion
• Design MLOps workflows for model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
• Collaborate with embedded software, cloud engineering, and HMI teams
