Senior Machine Learning Engineer II

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II to join their Optical Systems division in Tucson, AZ. You will develop deep learning neural networks for advanced Electro-Optical image processing, supporting critical space domain and ISR challenges for defense and intelligence customers. This role involves designing, training, and deploying ML models, building ML pipelines, and collaborating with a team of researchers and engineers.

• Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for Optical Systems applications
• Build and maintain ML pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, training, and inference
• Collaborate with researchers/engineers on AI, ML, and computer vision
• Perform rapid prototyping and enhanced development for operational systems
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements
