Senior Machine Learning Engineer

STR is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to transform cutting-edge AI/ML research into production systems for national security. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to bridge the gap between prototype and product, building scalable backend services and user interfaces for diverse platforms. This role involves close collaboration with customers to understand mission needs and iterate on solutions.

• Translate mission needs into technical requirements and iterate based on feedback
• Provide leadership and champion software engineering best practices
• Architect loosely coupled systems for interpretability and maintainability
• Implement novel capabilities into existing live systems
• Engineer robust backend services, scalable APIs, and optimized database models
• Develop polished, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces
