Principal Machine Learning Engineer

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Cisco, you will architect and build the foundational AI platform that powers intelligent customer experiences across Cisco's products. You will lead technical strategy, design scalable AI systems for production, and drive cost optimization and engineering standards. • Architect and build scalable, multi-tenant AI services for hybrid and air-gapped environments
• Select, evaluate, and implement AI models, frameworks, and inference technologies
• Design and implement AI cost optimization strategies
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor senior engineers
• Develop and fine-tune models using Python, PyTorch, or JAX
• Deploy production LLM/SLM inference runtimes and RAG systems
