Biohub is seeking a Staff Research Scientist to join their AI Research team in New York. This role focuses on advancing AI safety in biological research, developing novel AI models, and building robust systems to accelerate scientific discovery and cure diseases. You will collaborate with experts to create safeguards for AI systems, ensuring their use for maximum societal benefit.

• Design and build safety evaluations for AI capabilities in biology
• Collaborate with scientists to build robust safeguards against misuse
• Monitor AI advancements and assess impact on safeguards
• Develop and evolve frontier safety policy
• Communicate safety work to internal and external partners
• PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
