Leidos is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join their R&D team supporting the Department of Energy at the National Energy Technology Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. This role focuses on cutting-edge research to enhance oil production from unconventional reservoirs by developing and testing secondary recovery methods. You will collaborate with world-class experts in reservoir engineering, geochemistry, and advanced imaging to advance fossil energy technology.

What we are looking for

Lead rock and fluid characterization for oil saturation mapping and optimization
Design and conduct laboratory tests for enhanced oil and gas recovery
Integrate laboratory results with field-scale reservoir models
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers
Interpret experimental data using Python or MATLAB
Contribute to peer-reviewed studies and technical reports
