Scientist II, ML - Guided Protein Design Evaluation

Profluent is seeking a Scientist II, ML to join their AI-first protein design company. This role focuses on evaluating and improving protein design models through experimental data generation and analysis. You will bridge the gap between ML scientists and experimental systems, ensuring high-quality data for model training and iteration.

• Partner with ML and Protein Design leads to scope MDE campaigns
• Define assay readiness levels, controls, and QC acceptance criteria
• Review incoming experimental data for scientific soundness
• Serve as the scientific point of contact for CRO technical scoping
• Contribute to campaign charters, benchmarking assay design, and post-campaign readouts
• PhD in a related scientific field or MS with equivalent experience
