Senior/Principal AI/ML Computational Scientist

Roche is seeking a PhD-level Senior/Principal AI/ML Computational Scientist to join the Digital Pathology group within Translational Safety. This role focuses on developing and applying computational methods, including machine learning and deep learning, to analyze digital histopathology images and related imaging datasets to support preclinical safety evaluation and drug discovery. The scientist will collaborate with pathologists and toxicologists to extract quantitative insights and advance pathology workflows.

• Develop and apply computational image-analysis methods using classical image processing, ML, and deep learning
• Analyze digital pathology and imaging datasets to extract quantitative features and generate interpretable results
• Collaborate with pathologists, toxicologists, and cross-functional scientists
• Contribute to the development of reusable computational workflows and research tools
• Evaluate and implement emerging computational approaches for digital pathology and image analysis
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
