Staff AI/ML Engineer, Data Products & AI

As a Staff AI/ML Engineer, you will lead the technical direction for production AI/ML systems, owning their full lifecycle from concept to optimization. You will combine deep expertise in modern AI, including foundation and generative models, with strong software engineering to build reliable, safe, and valuable product features. This role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, raise the technical bar for engineers, and empower millions of customers to take control of their health.

• Set technical direction and architect end-to-end AI/ML capabilities across multiple teams and products
• Build and optimize AI/ML features using predictive models or generative AI, including LLMs
• Define evaluation and safety standards, driving responsible AI practices
• Shape technical strategy and roadmap, balancing performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Raise the engineering bar for AI/ML systems, improving pipelines and infrastructure
• Mentor other engineers and influence cross-functional stakeholders
