Bioinformatics & AI Engineer

Amgen is seeking a Bioinformatics & AI Engineer to develop and deploy advanced AI systems for accelerating drug discovery and clinical development. This role involves integrating bioinformatics, machine learning, and software engineering to analyze diverse biological and clinical data, creating robust, traceable scientific capabilities. You will work with cutting-edge foundation models and build scalable platforms to translate scientific needs into impactful solutions.

• Develop and deploy foundation-model-enabled applications for omics, imaging, and clinical data
• Adapt and evaluate biological foundation models and LLMs for biomarker discovery
• Build robust model development workflows and scalable data pipelines
• Engineer agentic workflows combining AI with bioinformatics tools
• Define rigorous benchmarking and validation strategies for AI models
• Develop production-ready services on cloud and GPU infrastructure
