AI Scientist - Agentic Engineering

Mistral is seeking an AI Scientist to join their AI4Engineering Science team in Paris. This role focuses on building pre and post-training data for LLMs to reason about and execute engineering tasks, particularly in CAE and EDA. You will shape agent architectures and harness models for multi-step engineering workflows, working closely with domain experts and the research team.

• Design pretraining, SFT, and RL data for engineering tasks
• Define verifiers and evaluation criteria for engineering tasks
• Design and improve agent architectures and harnesses for workflows
• Build evaluation benchmarks and diagnostic tooling
• Collaborate with domain experts and research teams
• Contribute to broader pre and post-training research
