Senior Software Engineer I, Machine Learning, ML Enablement

Etsy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning to build and operate the infrastructure for training, hosting, and serving ML models. You will architect systems for high-throughput model serving, enabling scientists and engineers to deploy models efficiently. This role involves writing Python code, working with GCP and Kubernetes, and designing infrastructure for both traditional ML and large language models.

• Architect systems for fast, reliable, and scalable ML model serving
• Build and operate infrastructure for ML model training and serving on GCP and Kubernetes
• Design and maintain serving infrastructure for open-source and internally hosted LLMs
• Partner with Applied Scientists to understand and address model training/serving needs
• Contribute to system design for large-scale, high-availability infrastructure
• Write production-grade Python code and participate in code reviews
