Research Engineer 6 - TL, Off-Platform and Evidence Personalization

Netflix is seeking a Tech Lead Research Engineer to drive the vision and execution for off-platform and evidence personalization systems. This role involves leading teams focused on algorithmic notification personalization, asset personalization, and emerging GenAI applications, impacting all Netflix members globally. You will own production ML systems at the intersection of product and platform, leveraging GenAI and multimodal AI to enhance member engagement, retention, and revenue.

• Lead technical vision and roadmap for candidate generation and emerging applications
• Drive cross-functional partnerships with Merchandising, Product, Engineering, and Data Science
• Design, build, and ship production ML systems at Netflix scale
• Integrate and leverage foundation model capabilities for member-facing use cases
• Apply advanced ML, GenAI, LLMs, or multimodal AI in production systems
• 6+ years of experience applying machine learning in an industry setting
