About this role
Helsing is seeking an AI Research Engineer to work on cutting-edge machine learning and signal processing for defense applications. You will develop and deploy AI models that analyze complex radio frequency signals in challenging environments, owning problems from research to implementation on real-world systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical defense technology and push the boundaries of AI in a mission-driven, European team.
What we are looking for 6
- Develop ML models for RF signal detection, classification, and reasoning
- Work with messy, irregular, and adversarial signal data
- Prototype on real data and deploy to embedded hardware under strict constraints
- Own research problems end-to-end, from literature review to deployment
- Collaborate with RF engineers, hardware specialists, and system operators
- PhD or equivalent research record in ML, signal processing, or related field
