Staff Data Scientist, Applied ML

Join Jobber as a Staff Data Scientist, Applied Machine Learning to own and build ML models and systems for automated decisioning. You will leverage advanced techniques like graph representation learning and transformer architectures to engineer real-time, scalable ML solutions within our product. This senior role offers significant architectural scope, allowing you to define how ML systems are built, evaluated, and trusted at Jobber, working with unique SaaS event, scheduling, and payment data.

• Own end-to-end production ML systems: training, serving, monitoring, and retraining
• Design and build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems on a company-wide metric graph
• Establish systematic evaluation and regression testing for ML models and LLM systems
• Set technical standards for MLOps and ML engineering, and mentor other scientists
• Partner with senior leadership to drive decisions against company goals
• Stay current with AI/ML developments and translate them into shipped capabilities
