Staff Research Scientist, Intern - PhD Quantum

Visa Research is seeking a PhD-level intern to work on cutting-edge quantum computing and information technologies. You will contribute to research in areas like quantum algorithms, machine learning, optimization, and cryptography, with a focus on applications in fraud detection, risk modeling, and secure transactions. This 12-week immersive program offers hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to present your findings to Visa leaders.

• Conduct research in quantum computing and information technologies
• Focus on quantum algorithms, machine learning, optimization, and cryptography
• Apply research to fraud detection, risk modeling, and secure transactions
• Pursuing a PhD with expected graduation in December 2027 or later
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java
• Hybrid work environment with at least 3 days in office
