Sr. Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Lilly is seeking a Sr. Principal Machine Learning Engineer to architect and build production-ready AI systems using machine learning, deep learning, and LLMs. This senior individual contributor role involves leading technical design, establishing best practices, mentoring peers, and driving the adoption of AI capabilities to solve complex business problems.

• Architect and build production-grade ML, deep learning, and generative AI systems
• Lead technical design for solutions involving RAG, LLM orchestration, and intelligent automation
• Own the full lifecycle of AI/ML delivery from problem framing to continuous improvement
• Implement MLOps and LLMOps practices including CI/CD and experiment tracking
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business opportunities into AI/ML product capabilities
• Apply secure-by-design and privacy-by-design principles to AI solutions
