Staff AI/ML Engineer

Abbott Vascular is seeking a Staff AI/ML Engineer to develop advanced machine learning solutions for OCT-based intravascular imaging systems. This role involves creating clinically relevant algorithms to identify anatomical and interventional features, translating AI research into scalable solutions for regulated medical devices. You will collaborate closely with clinical, imaging, software, and systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, and deploy ML/DL models for OCT image analysis
• Lead development of advanced semantic segmentation algorithms
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from data prep to deployment
• Collaborate with clinical and V&V teams on metrics and validation
• Optimize models for real-time inference in embedded systems
• Evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art AI approaches
