Senior AI/ML Engineer

General Motors is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their Autonomous Vehicle organization in Sunnyvale, California. This role focuses on ensuring the numerical rigor and safety of optimized AI models before they are deployed in vehicles. You will develop tooling and methodologies to quantify and validate model behavior, connecting low-level numerical differences to downstream driving performance.

• Validate optimized AI model implementations for numerical equivalence
• Connect tensor differences to vehicle driving behavior
• Build sensitivity and robustness analysis tooling
• Develop training dynamics observability diagnostics
• Ensure analytical tooling runs efficiently in production environments
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, numerical analysis, and matrix theory
