Join KLA's AI and Modeling Center of Excellence as a Senior Research Specialist to develop cutting-edge intelligent systems for semiconductor manufacturing. You will tackle complex research problems, design novel learning methods, and build proof-of-concept systems that reason over heterogeneous data and interact with analytical tools. This role focuses on agentic AI as a learning and decision-making challenge, distinct from conversational AI.

- Develop intelligent agents for reasoning over multimodal data and analytical tools
- Design and implement novel learning methods for sequential decision-making
- Apply reinforcement learning and foundation models to semiconductor inspection and metrology
- Translate research outcomes into scalable solutions through cross-functional collaboration
- Conduct rigorous evaluations of agent performance, reliability, and interpretability
- PhD in AI/ML or related field with 3-5 years of research experience
