Senior Software Engineer, ML Evaluation

Motional is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their ML Evaluation team, focusing on the Ground Truth Regression framework for autonomous driving vehicles. This role involves developing large-scale data analysis systems, metrics, and workflows to validate ML models and software changes, ensuring safety and performance. You will collaborate with ML engineers and autonomy developers to drive innovation in data analysis and root cause analysis.

• Develop new data analysis metrics and KPIs for autonomous vehicle performance validation
• Research and develop new large-scale data analysis systems
• Own large-scale data analysis workflows for ML model and software changes
• Provide statistical depth on model performance through rigorous error analysis
• Collaborate with ML Engineers and Autonomy Software Developers
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML, data mining, and statistical analysis
