Senior Machine Learning Engineer II, Ads Response Prediction

Instacart is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II to lead the design and development of core ML models for their ads ecosystem. This research-focused role involves tackling complex challenges in pCTR modeling, improving model calibration, and advancing multi-task learning and sequence modeling capabilities. You will contribute to next-generation foundation models and cutting-edge retrieval systems, working within a team that provides strong ML infrastructure and MLOps support.

• Lead research and development of pCTR and conversion prediction models
• Improve model calibration and reduce training data biases
• Design and implement debiasing techniques
• Contribute to next-generation Multi-Domain Multi-Task (MDMT) model architecture
• Drive sequence modeling initiatives including TIGER generative retrieval system
• Formulate and scope ambiguous modeling problems from first principles
