Data Scientist

Applied Materials is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves designing and developing methods to consolidate and analyze big data, performing complex statistical analysis, and deriving insights to improve business processes. You will work with product and service teams to identify questions for data analysis and experiments, and communicate findings to management.

• Design and development of program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze big data
• Perform statistical and data-mining analysis using tools like R, SAS, and MATLAB
• Interface with internal customers for requirements analysis and derive insights
• Develop analytical models, algorithms, and automated processes using SQL and Python
• Communicate insights and findings to product, service, and business management
