Senior Research Engineer, Olmo + Molmo

The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join their team in Seattle. This role focuses on training and optimizing large-scale open models, including LLMs and multimodal models. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of research projects, from system design to experiment release, collaborating closely with research and engineering colleagues.

• Train and optimize flagship open models (Olmo, Molmo)
• Design, train, and evaluate multimodal models
• Lead research projects and prioritize experiments
• Apply strong software engineering practices to research
• Contribute to the open-source community
• 4+ years of ML infrastructure experience
