Research Engineer - ML Infrastructure

Chai Discovery is seeking a Research Engineer to join our ML Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for ensuring our cutting-edge AI models train and run efficiently, reliably, and at scale. This role involves optimizing distributed systems, debugging complex issues, and collaborating closely with research scientists to accelerate drug discovery.

• Architect, debug, and optimize distributed ML training stacks
• Profile and identify bottlenecks in end-to-end training runs
• Optimize ML workloads using parallelism, quantization, and custom kernels
• Collaborate with research scientists on model scaling
• Ensure reliability of the training stack for large-scale jobs
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML infrastructure
