About this role
Lila Sciences is seeking a Scientist II / Senior Scientist to join their Materials Science team. This role focuses on electron diffraction characterization to accelerate materials discovery by turning measurements into machine-readable data. You will lead method development, validation, and operation for electron diffraction workflows, interpret data, and build scalable analyzer pipelines.
What we are looking for
6- Lead micro-ED and electron microscopy characterization workflows
- Develop methods for crystal structure determination and microstructure analysis
- Prepare samples, run measurements, interpret data, and troubleshoot quality issues
- Define calibration, validation, QC, and reproducibility standards
- Build structured, traceable diffraction outputs for downstream analysis
- Partner with ML, software, automation, and experimental teams
