Data Scientist I

Unum is seeking a developing Data Scientist to transform data into actionable insights and drive business impact. This role involves applying technical expertise in programming, statistics, and data manipulation, alongside developing business knowledge, to support analytical projects. You will work with a manager to identify and execute analytical approaches, contributing to the company's mission of providing employee benefits and service solutions.

• Design and execute analytical solutions using statistical, optimization, simulation, and data mining methods
• Integrate large volumes of data from various sources
• Construct predictive models using machine learning
• Interpret results and communicate findings to management
• Support integration of solutions within existing business processes
• Develop expertise in statistical methods and tools
