Manager, IT Data, ML & AI Engineering

Gilead Sciences is seeking an AI/ML Data Scientist to drive their enterprise AI strategy within US Commercial operations. This role will focus on understanding finance processes and data to develop tailored AI-enabled solutions, partnering with various teams to ensure accuracy and impact. The position is based in Raleigh, NC, and is hybrid-eligible.

• Design and execute prompt engineering strategies and conduct experimentation to optimize AI model performance
• Lead process discovery across finance functions and translate business logic into technical specifications for AI solutions
• Serve as finance SME in AI model design, feature engineering, and solution architecture
• Document current-state workflows and design future-state AI-enabled processes
• Validate AI solutions against current-state workflows and regulatory requirements
• Manage portfolio-level tracking, executive dashboards, and metrics across all finance AI/ML use cases
