Scientist I

BD, a global medical technology company, seeks a Scientist I to independently plan and execute scientific investigations for new product development and process improvement. This role involves applying principles of analytical chemistry, materials science, and formulation development to solve technical challenges and support data-driven decisions across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing.

• Design, execute, and interpret laboratory studies
• Develop technical rationales and recommendations
• Lead root cause investigations and problem-solving
• Apply chemistry, materials science, and analytical principles
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods
• Support formulation, coating, and material development
