Controller

Scout Space is seeking a Financial Controller to manage and build the company's accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance. This hands-on role involves overseeing the accounting infrastructure, financial processes, and internal controls to support rapid growth, including managing external bookkeeping relationships and transitioning functions in-house.

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP
• Manage external bookkeeping relationship and build in-house accounting capabilities
• Implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with government contract accounting requirements (DCAA, FAR/DFARS)
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition
• Prepare financial reporting for leadership, investors, and government customers
