Financial Control Lead

ClearBank is seeking a Financial Control Lead to join their team in London. This role is responsible for contributing to the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements. You will own key financial control activities, including journals, reconciliations, and analysis, while collaborating with various teams to maintain high standards of financial control and governance.

• Own month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate delivery
• Prepare, review, and approve general ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze revenue and expense variances, and partner with FP&A for accruals
• Lead initiatives to automate accounting entries and improve process efficiency
• Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders, and support audit activities
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong financial accounting experience
