Senior Accountant

The University of Rochester seeks a Senior Accountant to provide specialized support in complex accounting functions including AR, AP, payroll, and cost accounting. This role involves preparing specialized reports, analyzing financial data, and recommending operational improvements. The Senior Accountant will also balance complex accounts, prepare federal/state reports, and may provide work leadership to junior accounting personnel.

• Review complex financial data and recommend system modifications
• Design financial reports and statements for management and agencies
• Perform complex cost finding analyses
• Ascertain integrity of accounting data and account balances
• Monitor special purpose funds and establish controls
• Consult with internal and external auditors
