Staff Accountant

Circle K is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Tax department. In this role, you will analyze sales/use tax documents, prepare tax return calculations and journal entries, and maintain a tax calendar to ensure timely remittances. You will also troubleshoot with the team, maintain tax records, and assist with research and reconciliation of tax discrepancies.

• Calculate monthly sales/use tax returns and troubleshoot with the team
• Maintain tax records and schedules for multi-state sales/use tax returns
• Analyze sales data from ERP system (PDI)
• Assist with research on state and local tax notices
• Reconcile tax discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Adhere to SOX procedures and internal controls
