Accountant/Senior Accountant

Cog is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to support the City's financial operations. Responsibilities include financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, compliance tracking, and analysis. Depending on experience, duties may extend to grant reporting, fixed asset tracking, project accounting, and financial statement preparation.

• Prepare and post journal entries, review for inconsistencies
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of the City’s Comprehensive/Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
• Support budget preparation and compliance
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies
• Ensure accuracy of daily accounting transactions
