Sr Financial Reporting Accountant

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant in Birmingham, UK. This role partners with the PDX division controllership to provide reconciliations and reporting, collaborates with various finance teams, and identifies operational improvements. You will ensure compliance with U.S. and Local GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies.

• Provide data governance oversight for ERP chart of accounts
• Manage and maintain EDMCS/HFM mapping
• Partner with the finance transformation team on projects
• Collaborate with PDX subsidiaries, GBS, Corporate Accounting, and SDG Controllership
• Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and Local GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policy
