Senior Financial Accountant

Bernalillo County is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to perform advanced accounting and financial duties. This role involves managing the general ledger, fixed assets, financial reporting, and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. You will prepare complex financial reports, conduct specialized training, and contribute to improving internal controls and efficiencies.

• Perform complex accounting duties in general ledger, grants, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury
• Prepare annual financial statements for the ACFR
• Analyze and audit accounting records for accuracy and compliance
• Review and approve journal entries and resolve discrepancies
• Develop internal financial reports for leadership
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and 5 years of experience
