Senior Accountant

TMX is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage complex accounting activities, ensure financial record accuracy, and provide comprehensive reporting and analysis. This role involves owning the financial close process, managing complex ledger entries, conducting technical accounting research, and serving as a lead contact for external auditors.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Conduct technical accounting research on US GAAP standards
• Lead external audit preparations and manage workpapers
• Evaluate and maintain internal controls (SOX)
• Perform variance analyses and provide strategic recommendations
