About this role
As a Tax Specialist at Newrez, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate property tax records and ensuring timely payments for mortgaged properties. This role involves processing tax bills, researching customer inquiries, and managing exceptions within service level agreements. You will play a key part in preventing tax delinquencies and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced mortgage environment.
What we are looking for 6
- Process tax bills and manage payments for escrow and non-escrow accounts
- Research and resolve property tax issues for customers
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of tax contracts and disbursements
- Maintain system of record with accurate tax information
- 2-4 years of tax administration experience in mortgage banking or real estate financing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills
