Senior Accountant

HUB International is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our insurance operations by executing general accounting, reconciliation, and reporting functions. You will partner with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity, drive process improvements, and support close activities. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, insurance industry knowledge, and the ability to independently resolve complex issues.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank and premium trust accounts
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
• Monitor and manage unapplied cash, unearned commission, and receivable/payable balances
• Support Blackline reconciliation processes and financial statement review
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, escalating complex issues
• Mentor Staff Accountants and identify process improvement opportunities
