Staff Accountant

Sony Music Publishing is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the revenue accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely recording of cash receipts. This role involves monthly bank reconciliations, supporting royalty processing, and leading an initiative to enhance studio utilization billing and collections.

• Apply incoming cash receipts from customers, licensees, and affiliates
• Perform daily cash application activities and investigate unidentified receipts
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Lead the design and implementation of enhanced billing and collection procedures for studio utilization
• Collaborate with royalty accounting teams and business stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and strengthen internal controls
