Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax

POET is seeking an on-site Tax Accountant to support its indirect tax functions, including sales, use, property, and excise taxes. This role involves compliance, planning, and decision-making within the corporate tax department, offering a chance to focus on tax accounting without the traditional tax season rush.

• Prepare and file various indirect tax returns across multiple states
• Assist with property tax compliance and sales/use tax audits
• Respond to tax jurisdiction notices and correspondence
• Utilize tax research software and maintain sales tax engine
• Collaborate with internal departments for tax classification and process improvements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
