About this role
The National Education Association seeks a Senior Technical Accountant and Financial Analyst to provide expert accounting and financial management support to NEA staff and affiliated organizations. This role involves evaluating financial health, identifying risks, and recommending solutions to enhance fiscal accountability and operational effectiveness. You will analyze financial statements, conduct ratio and trend analyses, and develop strategies to improve financial sustainability across the affiliate network.
What we are looking for
6- Provide technical accounting and financial management expertise
- Evaluate financial health, risk, and operations for affiliates
- Analyze audit reports, financial statements, and budgets
- Develop and present financial best practices and training
- Assess compliance with regulatory filings (IRS, DOL, FEC)
- Requires CPA designation and 5+ years of progressive accounting/auditing experience
