Financial Accountant (Research)

Join the University of Melbourne as a Financial Accountant supporting world-class research. This full-time role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with funding agreements, and strengthening sponsor relationships. You will collaborate with researchers and external funders to enhance financial management and drive process improvements within the Research Finance team.

• Complete financial accounting processes including interest distribution and revenue recognition
• Submit compliant financial reports to sponsors and resolve income variances
• Provide expert financial advice to research finance partnering teams
• Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls
• Build productive relationships with key external funders and auditors
• Requires CA, CPA or equivalent qualification and substantial experience
