Area Accountant

Republic Services is seeking an Area Accountant to perform accounting activities, analyze financial information, and prepare financial reports. This role ensures accuracy and compliance with company policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and GAAP. The accountant will also support audits, budget processes, and respond to information requests from various departments.

• Compile and analyze financial information for journal entries
• Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports
• Assist with internal controls and compliance
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze financial statements
