Technical Accountant

This role researches, interprets, and applies accounting guidance to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and SAP. You will serve as a key technical accounting resource for complex transactions, financial statements, and policy development, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to document accounting conclusions and communicate impacts.

• Research and analyze accounting guidance for new transactions and standards
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda
• Interpret and apply GAAP, SAP, and NAIC guidance
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Evaluate accounting implications of technical areas like revenue recognition and leases
• Develop, maintain, and communicate accounting policies
