Research Accountant

The Research Accountant provides essential post-award financial management and accounting support for sponsored projects within the College of Engineering & Applied Science. You will partner with Principal Investigators (PIs) to manage their project portfolios, monitor financial activity, prepare reports and projections, and ensure compliance with university and sponsor requirements. This role involves close collaboration with PIs, finance officers, and the Office of Sponsored Programs.

• Provide post-award financial management for sponsored projects
• Monitor project expenditures, budgets, and financial activity
• Prepare financial reports, projections, and spending plans for PIs
• Process accounting transactions, including journal entries and cost transfers
• Support payroll accounting, effort reporting, and compliance
• Collaborate with PIs, finance officers, and the Office of Sponsored Programs

• Must be authorized to work without sponsorship.
