As a Sr. Accounting Analyst at Xcel Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our accounting close cycles and financial reporting. You will analyze complex financial data, prepare ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and contribute to regulatory reporting and tax filings. This role offers the opportunity to work on special projects, consult on accounting matters, and potentially lead other analysts, contributing to the clean energy transition.
What we are looking for 6
- Support accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close cycles
- Analyze complex financial data, reconcile accounts, and prepare ledger entries
- Prepare financial statements, regulatory reports, and tax filings
- Participate in or lead special projects, including system testing and process improvements
- Consult with internal clients and management on accounting and system matters
- Minimum four years of general financial accounting and reporting experience
