Senior Financial Analyst

The University of Chicago seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to provide strategic oversight and expertise in billing, collections, and financial compliance for sponsored research awards. This role involves managing complex funding portfolios, leading process improvements, and ensuring adherence to federal regulations and institutional policies. You will act as a key liaison and senior operational expert, driving financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Subject matter expert for sponsored project billing, collections, and cash management
• Lead development and implementation of billing and collections policies and controls
• Direct complex billing and collection activities for diverse funding sources
• Interpret and apply Uniform Guidance, GAAP, and sponsor regulations
• Perform advanced financial analyses using various university systems
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to billing and collections staff
