Financial and Operations Analyst

The Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Chicago seeks a Financial and Operations Analyst to provide comprehensive financial and operational support. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, invoicing, expenditure tracking, grant administration, and general office operations to advance the university's research mission.

• Manage general ledger, including account creation, journal entries, and period-end closing
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts, monitoring variances
• Support procurement activities and process transactions in financial systems
• Reconcile accounts and manage year-end closeouts
• Assist with grant and contract administration and compliance
• Maintain and develop office-wide policies and procedures
