About this role

NextGen is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II, Tax to manage sales and use tax documentation, filings, and compliance. This role involves assisting with property tax, business license filings, and tax audits while researching tax laws and resolving notices. You will also support 1099 compliance and contribute to tax department internal controls.

Prepare and analyze monthly sales and use tax data
Assist with annual property tax filings and business license applications
Gather and review sales tax exemption certificates
Support 1099 compliance and tax audit processes
Monitor tax calendar and research tax laws and regulations
Correspond with taxing authorities to resolve notices
